The journey began in 2015 as an operation under the Family Fora Ministry, a faith-based outreach dedicated to strengthening families. Seeing the specific, often overlooked struggles of widows in our community, the vision for a dedicated initiative was born.
What started as a small outreach has grown into a movement. On October 4th, 2019, the Comfort Widows Relief and Welfare Initiative was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.
Having recently celebrated our milestone 10th Anniversary in December 2025, we look back on a decade of God’s faithfulness—empowering thousands of women to move from pain and penury to purpose and prosperity.

Philosophy
A Vision Born Out of Empathy.
The Comfort Widows initiative was birthed to cater for the physical, financial, psychological, and spiritual needs of widows and disadvantaged groups in Nigeria.
We believe that widowhood should not be a sentence to poverty. Instead of having women mourn in pain, we empower them to face life as victors. We thrive on seeing them improve their lives, support their children, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Help Us Do More.
Provide sustainable empowerment, justice, and community for widows and their children.
We have a vision to expand our reach. Our intended projects include ICT Training to empower children with digital skills, regular visitations to orphanages, and the acquisition of a dedicated office property and buses for logistics.
